整體目標

Our Music curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience, offering students diverse avenues to refine their artistry through hymn sharing, music technology workshops, ensemble training, and critical music appreciation. Beyond the acquisition of technical skills, these pedagogical activities serve a greater purpose: to instill Catholic core values, nurture a global perspective, and foster a spirit of collaboration and harmony among peers.

Dedicated to the holistic development and self-confidence of every learner, the Music Department maintains a vibrant culture of performance. We offer specialized training for gifted students through various distinguished groups, including the School Choir, Western Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, and Hand Chimes Team. To further broaden their horizons, students are actively encouraged to participate in external competitions and public performances, platforms that are essential for showcasing talent and gaining professional experience.

Ultimately, the synergy between our academic curriculum and our extensive network of music groups ensures a high-quality education, empowering students to achieve unique, all-round personal growth.

課程特色

The Music curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad and enriching learning experience that nurtures both artistic growth and personal development. Emphasis is placed on music appreciation, enabling students to explore diverse musical styles, historical contexts, and cultural perspectives. Through guided listening, analytical discussions, and reflective activities, students develop a deeper understanding of music as both an art form and a means of expression.

Collaboration stands at the heart of our program. Students engage actively in ensemble training, choral singing, and instrumental performance, cultivating teamwork, responsibility, and mutual respect. These shared musical experiences not only strengthen technical and interpretive skills but also build enduring friendships grounded in harmony and cooperation. In addition, hymn singing and participation in liturgical events provide meaningful opportunities for students to embody Catholic values and contribute to the spiritual life of the school.

Complementing classroom learning, the Music Department offers a variety of co-curricular experiences, including the School Choir, Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, and Hand Chimes Team. Students are also encouraged to join external competitions and performances, allowing them to apply their learning in authentic contexts and gain confidence through real-world musical engagement.
