By joining the Moot Court Team, students participate in regular training of simulated mock trials, learning case analysis and persuasive argumentation by role-playing as the prosecution lawyer, defence lawyer or the witness, fostering logical thinking and public speaking skills. They took part in both internal and external laws competitions. One of them is the Interschool Mediation Tournament, where students got the Best Summarising Prize, enabling us to learn from an utterly different approach to solve legal conflicts. We learn from lenient mediation techniques like active listening and communication skills while balancing the rights of both parties as mediators.
Students have broadened their horizons by playing different roles like lawyers and mediators in a court setting and have bolstered self-confidence by having more public speaking opportunities!
