  • 2026-07-14 We are SIUMINGIANS 2026

We are Siumingians 2026 is an activity organized by Life Planning Education & Career Guidance, with assistance from Past-Pupils Association to support its promotion. Through this programme, we hope to bring current students and graduates closer together, and to build a social network for all “Siumingians.”

This year, the We are Siumingians 2026 Mentorship Programme was held on July 4 (Saturday) at the school hall, where more than 20 mentors set up booths to introduce their professional fields. Form Five students took turns to learn from and exchange ideas with the mentors. The mentors showcased subject-related or career-related materials and photos, and even shared career exposure and experiences, helping students better understand current industry trends and the content of different disciplines.

During the event, students learned about the prospects of our school’s graduates and broadened their perspective on future planning. All the mentors expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to return to campus to share and exchange career insights. We would also like to offer our special thanks to all mentors who supported this year’s mentorship programme. If you are an alumnus and are interested in the programme, please keep an eye out for future promotion from Past-Pupils Association.

  • 2026-07-14 Visit to the Legislative Council – In Conversation with LegCo member Ir Hon Michelle Tang

A huge thank you to the Construction Industry Council Youth Affairs Committee and the National & Civic Education Group for co-organising this unforgettable visit to the Legislative Council!

Fifteen of our students and teachers had the rare opportunity to sit down with LegCo member Ir Hon Michelle Tang for an inspiring dialogue. Not only did we learn about the daily duties of a LegCo member, but we also gained valuable insights from LegCo member Tang’s personal journey as a female engineer — a truly empowering story!

The highlight? A guided tour of the Chamber and key areas of the LegCo Building — a behind‑the‑scenes look at where the decisions shaping our city are made.

It was an eye‑opening experience that sparked curiosity, ambition, and civic awareness among our students.

  • 2026-07-02 "Chaoshan Drawn-work Dolls: A Hands-On Experience" Campus Workshop

Thirty students from our school participated in the "Chaoshan Drawn-work Dolls: A Hands-On Experience" campus workshop on 3 July 2026, funded by the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Office. The workshop invited Master Choy Tat-yiu to our school for personal instruction, allowing students to experience first-hand the making of traditional Chaozhou drawn-work dolls. Through this process, they learned about the Chinese traditional craft of paper crafting (紮作) and gained an up-close appreciation of the delicacy and aesthetics of this intangible cultural heritage. The making process also enabled students to understand the cultural value of father-to-son craft inheritance, while nurturing their patience and concentration.

From the many pieces created by the students, Master Choy selected the finished works of three Form 6 students — Yip Sze-yi, Li Tian, and Cheng Tsz-hei — which were exhibited at Tai Kwun from 4 to 6 July.

Exams are approaching, and our teachers have seen how hard our students have been studying. It's important to take care of the mental well-being.

During the final week of exams, the Inclusive Education Team and the Spiritual Formation Team jointly held the "Sweet in Heart · Echo of Mary" event. We hope that our students can pause for a moment and take care their emotions —

Write down the recent stress and worries,

Throw them into the "Emotion Trash Can",

    Entrust those burdens to God.

Some sweet treats were also prepared, so they could taste a little sweetness in the busy life. In the end, every student received some encouraging words from Our Mother Mary. May her gentle companionship be a source of strength on the exam journey.
