Visual Arts
Promoting personal growth through art, advancing towards holistic development.
Art is a unique and vast realm; it is not just a form of expression but also a powerful force that promotes personal growth and enriches the soul. Through exploration and participation in art, we can open a door to holistic development.
S.6 students showcased their School-based Assessment artworks at the "Graduation Exhibition" held at the end of January and organized a "Sharing Session," establishing deeper connections with their junior peers. Feedback from attendees revealed that they could sense the creators' rich and genuine emotional world; this openness and cultivation of empathy can make us more open-minded and compassionate, enabling better collaboration and communication with others.
In addition, through various activities such as exhibitions, elite training, participation in external competitions, and Overseas Exchange Program, students can explore themselves, learn to view the world from different perspectives, and express their thoughts and emotions, thereby nurturing and practicing creativity.
Art allows us to become more colorful individuals, helping us find ourselves in life and move toward holistic development.

We visited the "Dafen Oil Painting Village," which is filled with an artistic atmosphere, showcasing numerous artists' studios, galleries, and art supply shops. The "Dafen Art Museum" also displayed various types of paintings from around the world. In the afternoon, we went to the "Guanlan Printmaking Base," where we learned about different types of printmaking. Upon close observation, I was amazed by the intricate textures on the prints, which undoubtedly require considerable effort and time! Afterwards, we headed to Team Lab, where we enjoyed "charging up" in a scene that combines technology and art, having a fantastic time!

At "Zhongshu Bookstore," as soon as we entered, we were greeted by a striking spiral bookshelf that exuded artistic flair. The store offered a wide variety of books, making it hard to leave. At the "Guangzhou Museum of Art," we admired traditional and modern ink paintings, as well as three-dimensional creations by Lingnan artists. These works were skillfully executed, with outstanding concepts and expressive qualities. In the afternoon, we visited "Shamian Island," a former concession area filled with 19th-century European charm from England and France. The beautiful scenery made us feel as though we had stepped into another time and space. The day's itinerary was rich and fulfilling; not only did we learn about art, but we also enjoyed authentic local cuisine, making it an incredibly rewarding experience.

We visited the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln and even created our own pottery pieces. The process was filled with joy and laughter, especially when some classmates ended up shaping their ceramics into unusual forms! From the guide's introduction, we learned about the history of pottery, the manufacturing process, and various creative techniques, which was truly beneficial!
